FAQ’s

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound that occurs naturally in the Cannabis plant. Cannabis is thought to have many therapeutic benefits and has thus been used medicinally for thousands of years. Given its popularity and safe, non-addictive composition, CBD has become the subject of countless studies around the world. CBD is just one type of phytocannabinoid compound that can be found in the Cannabis plant.

CBD is closely related to another phytocannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol. Better known as THC, this compound is responsible for getting people high. CBD and THC are the most widely studied components of the cannabis plant. Both CBD and THC are thought to have significant therapeutic benefits. But unlike THC, CBD does not make you feel high when you consume it. That’s because CBD and THC have different compositions and affect different receptors within the brain and body. CBD can actually help counteract the psychoactive effects of THC. This makes CBD the perfect choice for people who want the health benefits of cannabis without experiencing the psychoactive effects of THC.

Due to DSHEA guidelines, we are not allowed to name any health conditions that may be impacted by CBD. We encourage you to do your own research, consult your doctor, and visit PubMed.gov as a source for current research involving CBD and it’s benefits. More and more research is being done to substantiate the medicinal advantages of CBD . We encourage you to talk to your doctor before you begin any new dietary or supplement regimen.

Hemp-based products containing less than 0.3% THC are considered exempt from the Federal Controlled Substances Act. Therefore, thy are currently not unlawful to distribute.

No! CBD is a phytocannabinoid that it is a non-psychoactive, non-addictive, and is shown to be incredibly safe for everyday use.

Agricultural hemp is tall with thick stocks, small leaves, and little to no flowers. Defined as a cannabis plant containing less than 0.3% THC, hemp has many contemporary uses, including textiles and oils. Hemp growers have fewer regulations to deal with than marijuana producers, so hemp production is the more common of the two.

On the other hand, Marijuana plants have distinctively shorter stalks and produce more flowers. The THC content is higher in these plants. While marijuana tends to be used recreationally, some states allow it to be prescribed medicinally. Because of the restrictions regarding marijuana, growing these plants can be much more difficult and leave a surprisingly large carbon footprint.

Due to antiquated laws and the lack of government funding invested in cannabis and hemp research, double blind and clinical trials are still desperately needed.

Because of this scientific neglect, it is difficult to standardize doses for specific conditions. However, passionate individuals are gathering usage data to help others with general usage guidelines, which we will share below.

Unlike most pharmaceutical drugs and even some herbal supplements, there is not a single case report of CBD overdose in medical literature. Additionally, there is no lethal dose associated with CBD, nor has it ever been labeled as addictive. No one has died from CBD usage, ever.

Finding your personal therapeutic dosage of CBD requires some tinkering. Even the most skilled practitioners recognize that finding the right dose takes a bit of patience and a little trial and error.

You may be wondering:
• How much do I need?
• How do I know if it’s working?
• Is it safe to take with this medication I’ve been taking for years?
• How do I sort through all of the information overload?

Every vertebrate has a profoundly different endocannabinoid system. We are all anatomically unique. Each of our physical blueprints requires different amounts of cannabinoids to remain balanced. Everything from genetics, diet & lifestyle, exposure to toxins, and even mindset and emotional well-being all impact how CBD will affect the beautiful and unique YOU.

That being said, when the right dose is achieved, the results are nothing short of inspiring:
Children with treatment resistant epilepsy have reduced their pharmaceuticals and significantly reduced or even completely stop their seizures. People with debilitating chronic pain find themselves running marathons with ease that once felt impossible.

Cancer patients find themselves eating again, as the nausea dissolves and appetite robustly returns. Even more, studies have demonstrated that CBD can slow down cancer growth and even induce programmed cell death of cancerous cells, providing an effective and safe treatment without the negative side effects associated with traditional chemotherapy.

As every person has a unique blueprint for CBD, it interacts differently within their systems. For some, they feel it within 15 minutes. For others, it takes a few weeks to really notice shifts, especially as they figure out what amount feels therapeutic.

One person might feel fabulous taking 2-5mg a day. A child with epilepsy might need 250 mg a day to thrive.

For general health concerns, we recommend some basic dosing guidelines:
1. Start small! See how you feel on even a few milligrams a day.
2. Slow down and take your time. Give yourself a few days to adjust to the new dose.
3. Notice how you’re feeling. You can even keep track with a journal.
4. Increase your dose if you’re not feeling any effect.

Of course, always reach out to a health professional that understands cannabinoids if you’re needing extra guidance. Certain medications work synergistically with CBD, while others seem to lose efficacy when used in combination. Increasing numbers of individuals have successfully used CBD to taper off of everything from epileptic medications to antidepressants and blood-pressure pills, to opioids and even alcohol consumption. Again, always check with a medical provider before making any drastic changes.

In terms of more severe inflammatory states, the CBD Oil Review Organization recommends the following:
• To increase appetite in cancer patients: 2.5 milligrams of THC with or without 1 mg of CBD for six weeks.
• To treat chronic pain: 2.5-20 mg CBD by mouth for an average of 25 days
• To treat epilepsy: 200-300 mg of CBD by mouth daily for up to 4.5 months
• To treat movement problems associated with Huntington’s disease: 10 mg per kilogram of CBD by mouth daily for six weeks
• To treat sleep disorders: 40-160 mg CBD by mouth.
• To treat multiple sclerosis symptoms: Cannabis plant extracts containing 2.5-120 milligrams of a THC-CBD combination by mouth daily for 2-15 weeks.
• To treat schizophrenia: 40-1,280 mg CBD by mouth daily for up to four weeks
• To treat glaucoma: a single CBD dose of 20-40 mg under the tongue. Doses greater than 40 mg may actually increase eye pressure.

While these guidelines are extremely helpful in determining your therapeutic dose, remember that you know your body better than anyone else. So give yourself the time to experiment, to feel things out as your body starts to move towards greater balance and harmony.

If you are anticipating a urine drug screening, it’s critical to understand how the cannabis plant is transformed into CBD oil. With this knowledge, you’ll be able to make an informed decision about whether or not to consume CBD oil, and about which CBD brands are right for you. The Cannabis plant contains a number of naturally occurring compounds, known as Cannabinoids. One of these compounds is called THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is the Cannabinoid that causes people to become high when they consume Cannabis products. When the body metabolizes THC, the compound is removed over time through the excretory system. Urine drug screenings allow Lab Technicians to test for the presence of THC in urine. The results determine whether or not you have consumed THC. Typically, a urine drug screening can detect the presence of THC for up to three months after it is consumed.

With that said, Hemp-derived CBD does contain small amounts of THC. When CBD is extracted from Hemp, the resulting CBD oil is known as full-spectrum CBD oil, because it contains all of the Cannabinoids. Many CBD-oil brands contain about 0.3% THC -trace amounts that could result in a positive test for THC. Because it is possible to register positive on a drug test from CBD oil consumption, it is wise for you to avoid full-spectrum CBD when you are anticipating a urine drug screening.

However, Flock Goods’ 100% Hemp-derived CBD oil contains ZERO THC. This means that you can enjoy all the nutraceutical benefits of CBD without any of the psychoactive effects. Our ZERO-THC formula assures that our products are always legal and ideal for anyone to use.

Our CBD oil is sourced from Hemp, and then the remaining 0.3% THC is removed from our formula. Flock Goods’ CBD oil is considered a broad-spectrum oil, because it contains all the Cannabinoids except for THC.

There are many reasons why someone might have to undergo a drug screening. But with Flock Goods’ 100% Hemp-derived CBD oil, you can be sure that your product is held to the highest standard of quality, and will always contain no trace of THC.
